Anton is based in Auckland New Zealand and is the VP Engineering at Dbvisit Software Limited. He has been working with Oracle database technology since version 7 and has developed a special interest in Oracle backup and recovery and standby database technology. Over the years he has successfully implemented many projects from small to large scale, and enjoys technical challenges.
He became an Oracle ACE beginning 2016 and is an Oracle Database 11g Certified Master. His other qualifications include Oracle Certified Professional (8i-12c), B.Sc. Degrees in Mathematical Science and Informatics, certifications in Solaris and Red Hat administration.
Anton is also a co-author of "Oracle Database 12c Release 2 Multitenant (Oracle Press)” released end 2016. He is Vice President of the NZOUG and a member of the IOUG. Anton is a regular speaker at various Oracle technology related conferences including Oracle Open World, NZOUG, Collaborate, db tech showcase as well as the Latin America and Asia Pacific OTN Tours.
Anton loves sport, but is a techie at heart and enjoys playing with technology such as Linux, Docker, IoT, Raspberry Pi and Arduino. Other hobbies include traveling around the world, playing golf, running and going to the theatre.
